Welcome. On this site you'll find a lot of production concepts from Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach. I'll eventually be posting my personal work as soon as I find the time to do some :) I hope you all find this stuff interesting or useful and if you guys have any questions let me know.
Thanks,
-Isaac
I never saw your blog response in time for Comic Con. Though a buddy of mine went, I asked him if he saw your booth but he couldn't recall. Text me homes. :P Looks like you did some fantastic work as usual. I do have one critique about your blog here though. You are missing me under the Inspiration, Mentors, and All Around People I Worship section to the right. Though my blog isn't that impressive right now.
Hi Isaac, firstly well done! I have big love for all of your artwork! I am currently doing my final college project on character design and it would be great to be able to speak to you for some first hand research!
If you could answer a few of my questions it would be a huge addition to my sketchbook, I would really appreciate it.
What do you use for inspiration when you design a character?
What are the most important drawing skills to have for character design?
Roughly how many times to you draw/re-draw a character until you consider it finished?
I understand that you must be busy so I will leave it at that! If you could speak to me in a bit more detail it would really help. If you get a chance please let me know at theo.crutchley-mack@hotmail.com
that one of jorge loading the gun: is that a hand held gun or ship/vehicle gun? if hand held, how does he hold to shhoot it? it and his size compared to the regular person is blowing my mind. i got the legendary version of halo reach and the statue shows his size to cat, but my mind is blown at his size.
Hey, I was wondering if you would mind doing a color sketch of the SPARTAN-III Semi-Powered Infiltration (SPI) Armor as seen in the Art of Halo 3 and on the cover of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. If that's okay with you. If you need to email me, here's my email address: xamikaze330@gmail.com.
That is, assuming you are the artist who did that sketch for the Art of Halo 3. I remember seeing the cover of Halo: Ghosts of Onyx on your blog, so I must be correct in my assumption, right?
Never mind. Sorry to be so presumptuous or for bothering you, I just found out it was Robt and Lorraine McLees. So sorry. Anyway, keep up the good work!
You really are a gem, you know that? Just with a few light lines with a couple markers and BAM, there's an entire scene with it's own story. Do you still do commissions at all or just at cons?
Incredible work, Isaac! I'm interested in picking up one of your sketchbooks. Are they still available?
ReplyDeleteYou were doing a lot of amazing work during the con!
